Enchia Tsai, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Bened Biomedical, has been named the winner of the Business and Innovation Award in the 2025 Study UK Alumni Awards – Taiwan.
Hosted by the British Council, the Study UK Alumni Awards honour UK-educated alumni who have made outstanding contributions in their fields. The Business and Innovation Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated creativity and impact through enterprise and innovation.
Tsai was recognised for her leadership in building Bened Biomedical into a global pioneer in psychobiotics—a field that uses probiotics to support mental and neurological health. The company’s flagship product, PS128, is supported by over 30 clinical studies and has reached more than one million families across 60 countries, providing accessible, science-backed support for conditions such as autism, Parkinson’s disease, and depression.
Founded in 2015, Bened Biomedical is one of the first companies in the world to translate emerging research on the gut-brain axis into real-world solutions for the neurodivergent community. Its work continues to bridge scientific discovery with practical impact, redefining what is possible in the fields of mental health, neuroscience, and microbiome-based therapeutics.
Tsai’s award highlights the growing international recognition of Bened Biomedical’s mission: to push the boundaries of biotechnology and deliver innovative solutions that improve lives.
